Procam CNC Wood Routers for Cabinet makers and Nested Base Manufacture.

Woodworking

Procam CNC machines are not only used for flat panel cabinet making. Many solid timber uses are cutting out their parts on Procam CNC machines. Custom vacuum jigs can easily be manufactured right on the CNC machine using the CAM software provided as standard with every Procam. In fact our Procam Technician will teach you how this is done. The beauty of making your jigs on the machine is that when you come to use the jig everything is in the correct place because the machine made both the jig and the finished part.

With a Procam CNC router even the most complicated jobs become easy. Take a complicated inlay on a boardroom table for an example.

Using the traditional method, you would have to make templates for both the outer shape as well as the inner profile. The chance of getting this perfect would be 1 in 10000. Then the hand routing using the template begins. The feel of the small hand router feels good to you and you are building up confidence. You turn on the router and the vibration removes any feel you may have had and reduces your ability to a fumble.

The other option is that you draw the design on a computer (or scan a picture if you can't draw) tell the computer the diameter of the cutter you will be using and that you are doing an inlay, and the rest is automatic. The male fits the female perfectly and you can even stipulate how much clearance you require between the male and female parts!
